Accurate people flow monitoring is an important pillar of London Gatwick Airport’s data strategy to maintain a high service level.

As host to more than 60 airlines and serving more than 43 million passengers per year, London Gatwick Airport (LGW) is and wants to remain the most efficient single runway in the world.

More than 250 Xovis 3D Sensors are deployed in various sites and cover an area larger than 2.2 football fields. Among other things, the Xovis airport software measures the waiting times for 60 airlines in 15 check-in zones and allocates queues dynamically to the respective desks via Xovis’ automated queue detection.
