The award winning Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport chose to install the Xovis 3D technology. In 2014 Delhi International Airport was ranked #1 in ACI-ASQ Awards for the category 25-40 million passengers per annum. Their commitment is that in T3, 95% of all passengers will wait no longer than 10 minutes at any counter.
As Airport with the highest quality standards, Delhi intends to measure the passenger flow in order to optimize overall processes. The main aim is to increase passenger satisfaction and experience by displaying the expected waiting time and stick to the commitment given.
To live up to this high standards, Delhi has assigned a contract to Xovis to install its passenger flow measurement technology in the following areas:
- T1 Departure Security
- T3 Departure immigration
- T3 Departure Security
- T3 Domestic Departure Security
- T3 Arrival Immigration
The core KPIs include automated queue detection and queue lengths as well as allocation to desks and lines. In addition, it will be possible to indicate the number of passengers processed per desk and line and show the passenger path maps in the area.
Based on the data gained with the Xovis technology, Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport will be able to deliver the promise and keep up the high service standards.
