Password policy ready for 2020 California Civil Code change (V4.3 and V3.10)
For improved safety of newly delivered electronics products, California demands an initial password change from 2020. Experts expect this policy to be adopted in many other regions in the US and beyond.
Please note: When configuring a new sensor and after resetting a running one, you will be prompted to change the initial password. You cannot use the standard password. If you want the password to be pre-set on new Xovis sensors, visit tools.xovis.com/customization to learn more about our customization services.
MAC address hashing on PC2R (V4.3 and V3.10)
Add to the privacy protection of your data collection on PC2R sensors. Use a hashing function for the MAC addresses of monitored Bluetooth/WiFi devices. From versions 3.10 and 4.3 this hashing is active by default. 2020 PC2R deliveries will have MD5 hashing on from the factory. Hashing can be switched off using the sensor master key (SMK).
