Xovis SPIDER
The Xovis SPIDER combines coordinate streams from single Xovis PC sensors to a Multisensor, allowing a seamless tracking of persons throughout a large area. Numerous person paths are handled simultaneously. The Multisensor coordinate stream is further analyzed on the Xovis SPIDER to trigger specific events, calculate KPIs and dynamically detect queues. This data can be received via data push to be integrated into a complete application.

Xovis SPIDER explanatory model
Counting lines and zones
Counting lines and zones can be configured anywhere in the Multisensor scene to provide specific events and KPIs.
Dynamic queue detection
With the dynamic queue detection queues can reliably be detected, even in complicated areas where people cross the queue or stand nearby. Queue shape and size are not static but dynamically adjusted. Therefore, the actual number of queuing people is more accurate than the fill level of a static zone. Multiple queues can be configured per scene. The queue detection algorithm delivers KPIs and events that can be integrated into systems like in store solutions.
Integration
Person coordinates, KPIs and events calculated by the Xovis SPIDER, can be retrieved via data push. Data Push is an intuitive and simple way for sending data to a remote end point. Supported protocols are UDP, HTTP(S), FTP and SFTP. The following data push types are available:
- Coordinates of all persons (legacy and new format that will be extended)
- Zone and queue occupancy of all persons
- Person counts (counting lines)
- Zone fill levels
- Person dwell times per zone
- Person dwell times per zone and associated exit line
- Number of people per queue (queue-detection)
- Created/deleted tracks in the Multisensor scene
- Line crossing (forward and backward)
- Line counting (forward and backward)
- Zone entry/exit
- Zone fill level change
- Track created/deleted in zone
- Dwell time in zone
- Dwell time in queue
- Queue entry
- Queue exit
- Queue fill level change
- Indication if the queue was left prematurely (abandoner)
- Waiting time per person after leaving the queue
In combination with the Xovis PC sensors, the Xovis SPIDER offers the perfect foundation for advanced in-store analytics, enabling various use cases such as:
- Frequency calculations
- Distribution visualization
- Product placement evaluation
- Path analysis and visualization
- Control of specific processes (opening gates etc.)
- Waiting time based on exact measurement
- Optimized staff planning based on fill levels and waiting times
- Waiting time display
