This year was Xovis’ second appearance at the NRF Retail’s Big Show. How do you assess the response from your target groups compared to 2017?
We have experienced a gratifying evolution since last year’s NRF. The awareness of the Xovis brand has significantly increased. Most visitors didn’t bump into us but stopped by our booth with the firm intention to learn more about Xovis and our latest innovations for people counting and full coverage in-store analytics. Many thanks again to all the visitors for the stimulating discussions at booth #547.
How do you explain the increase in brand awareness?
Our customer base grew strongly in 2017. More than 130 system integrators in the Retail industry count on Xovis 3D sensors and software solutions. A lot of our partners displayed our products at their booth, generating additional traffic to our booth. Xovis is more than just people counting: along with the Xovis Spider platform, the new generation of our AI-powered 3D sensors paves the way for full coverage in-store analytics.
What are the added value of the AI-powered 3D sensor and the Xovis Spider platform?
Based on Deep Learning, the new Xovis AI-powered 3D Sensor PC2S takes people detection to an unprecedented level, reaching a classification accuracy of over 99.5%. As our CTO Markus Herrli stated before the NRF, the redevelopment of our tracking algorithms empowers our partners to perform full-path customer analytics in the most challenging environments (occlusion, overcrowded situations etc.).
Why does the Xovis technology stand out from other new products presented at NRF?
The Retail industry demands people counting/ in-store analytics solutions that help detect the exact behaviour of shoppers to optimize customer experience and satisfaction. Only the new generation of 3D Smart Sensors can meet this demand.
When will the next innovation follow?
Our partners will benefit from a broad array of innovations in 2018. Among other things, we will release a queue measurement solution for the Retail industry. We will be exhibiting at both the EuroCIS in Düsseldorf and RBTE in London. The best way to see our next innovations is to stop by our booth.
