About Museo dell’Opera del Duomo
The Museo dell'Opera della Metropolitana, also known as Museo dell'Opera del Duomo of Siena, is located in Tuscany in central Italy. The building housing the museum was once part of a fourteenth-century expansion project of Siena Cathedral that was never completed. The museum exhibits everything to do with the Duomo, including the sculptures, goldsmith work, exceptional illuminated manuscripts, and codices, as well as a rich collection of paintings from the 13th to 19th century.
