Xovis' AERO Wins Airport Excellence Awards
The Long Road to the One-Stop Shop
Cloud-native and highly stable, AERO was designed based on the real-life experience Xovis gained over ten years helping airport operators solve queuing and other passenger flow challenges. Globally, over 100 airports solve day-to-day crowding issues with Xovis’ Passenger Flow Management System, with an increasing number adopting the AI-powered, cloud-native AERO.
“I could not be prouder of the AERO team, which is truly deserving of these awards,” Christian Studer, Xovis co-founder and CEO, said. “AERO is where Xovis’ past and future meet, and we are very happy with how the industry has responded to a product that combines a hard-earned reputation for quality and a commitment to innovation.”

Airport Technology granted the Innovation award in recognition of Xovis’ development of a highly available solution that airport operators can rely on to enhance operational efficiency and the passenger experience.
“Our research team invested a lot of time and effort in developing a fully managed solution that could quickly adjust to airports’ changing demands for stable and innovative solutions. The result is AERO, the new platform for self-learning solutions that will help airport operators reduce wait times and better manage resource costs,” Flurin Hänseler, Xovis’ Lead Research Scientist, said.
Xovis Chief Product Officer Florian Eggenschwiler noted how a focus on innovation has always guided the company’s pioneering work. “AI is something we’ve been using to resolve operators challenges almost as long as we’ve been around. What we are accomplishing with ML-based algorithms on AERO is next-level, truly revolutionary self-learning solutions that save operators time and verification costs.”
A Better Morning with AERO
Xovis' award for its “Mornings Go Better” campaign was in recognition of the company’s multi-media product launch. The creative and sometimes playful omnichannel campaign was focused on the mental toll of questioning data accuracy, a stressful reality that airport operators globally identified with.
“The narrative of the ‘Mornings Go Better’ campaign was built around the sometimes-overlooked issue of terminal operator well-being. Inaccurate data is costly, but also takes a toll on airport staff that use it for fact-based decision-making,” Manuel Schneuwly, Xovis Product Marketing Manager, said about the launch campaign.

A multi-episode story tracking the queuing and resource utilization challenges and successes of terminal operator, Paul, was developed and produced in-house. The Airport Technology award acknowledges the Xovis team’s effort in infusing a highly technical B2B product launch with a strong emotional storyline that appealed to terminal operators and travelers alike.
“What the Xovis marketing team did with the ‘Mornings Go Better’ campaign was exceptional in terms of ambition. Our nimble team of multi-talented professionals managed to create impactful work on the same level as much larger production teams. I’m happy to see that work recognized,” Manuela Gerber, Xovis’ Head of Marketing and Communications, said.
