Xovis brings data foundation for sustainable urban mobility to UITP 2025
Automatic Passenger Counting (APC) solutions are being used globally to respond to mobility challenges associated with growing urban populations, efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of transport systems, and equal access to passenger transport services. The issues are among the most pressing for public transport operators, who will meet with a broad range of service-providers and policymakers at UITP 2025 in June.
"Efforts to improve data quality are directly linked to public transportation operators’ push to make mobility more inclusive, more ecological, and more cost-effective. That trend has been gaining momentum for years, but we have seen an important shift in 2025 as operators of all sizes revisit the data- and cost-management strategies supporting their commitment to sustainable urban mobility,” Fritz Lembke, Xovis
Managing Director Sales, said.
Xovis 3D stereovision sensors are used to accurately and anonymously count passengers boarding and alighting on trains, buses, trams, and many other mass transit vehicles. This data is used by public transport operators and governments to plan vehicle types, routes, and fares. The company’s privacy-compliant solutions are already used in vehicles and public transportation infrastructure by leading companies around the world.
Journalists writing about Smart Mobility, multi-modal mobility, and the future of public transportation are invited to schedule interviews, attend live demonstration, and connect with Xovis executives throughout UITP 2025 in Hamburg, 15-18 June, at Hall A3/Stand A3346.
