Xovis will showcase its new large-area PF-Series sensor at this year’s Passenger Terminal Expo (PTE), taking place March 17–19 in London.

Engineered with an enlarged tracking area for real-time analytics across large areas, the purpose-built PF-Series sets a new benchmark for 3D vision in passenger environments. Designed for high-density, operationally complex terminals, it provides the scalability and computational power required to support advanced AI applications across airport ecosystems.

The technology is already being deployed in major international hubs, including London Heathrow, where it supports critical flow management and operational decision-making.

“The reality inside modern terminals is constant movement, variability, and pressure,” said Christian Studer, CEO and Co-Founder of Xovis. “The PF-Series addresses cost barriers that often prevent terminal operators from adopting full-coverage solutions. It delivers accurate, dependable intelligence across large, dynamic spaces in a cost-efficient way.”

Key technical advances of the PF-Series include:

    • Up to 7.9 TOPS of convolutional neural network (CNN) performance on an AI-native NPU, accelerating the models that power Xovis’ high-precision 3D passenger tracking and optical processing pipeline.

    • Significant performance gains over previous platforms, with NPU speeds up to 3× faster than widely used alternatives and up to 22.5× faster than comparable passenger-flow sensor models.

    • A balanced, high-performance compute architecture combining a quad-core CPU, GPU acceleration, and an AI-optimized SoC to enable real-time analytics, predictive flow modeling, and continuous AI advancement.

At PTE 2026, Xovis will demonstrate how the PF-Series helps airports optimize passenger flow across check-in, security, border control, boarding, transfer corridors, and arrivals—enabling operators to reduce congestion, allocate resources dynamically, and improve service-level performance.

“Demand for accurate, real-time passenger flow data is growing, alongside airport operators’ increasing sophistication in leveraging this information to address capacity challenges,” said Florian Eggenschwiler, Chief Product Officer at Xovis. “The PF-Series, with its expanded coverage area and enhanced processing capabilities, was designed specifically to meet this need.”

    INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITIES

Xovis executives will be available for media interviews and background discussions throughout PTE 2026. Journalists covering the future of travel and real-world applications of AI in the airport management sector are invited to meet the team at Booth C220 during the event.

To schedule an interview, please contact: nathan.walters@xovis.com or lisa.maier@xovis.com. Onsite meeting requests during the show can also be arranged directly at the booth.
